I signed up for this on recommendation from friends, as I have no time to meet anyone. I read the terms of service and within it, it said that I had 3 days to cancel and receive a full refund. All I needed to do was send a letter to the address listed stating that I wish to close the account.
I played with it for a few hours after signing up and decided this just wasn't for me. So I printed up a letter and, signed and dated it and sent it in the mail the next morning. A few days later I get a email stating that I must also call them to cancel the account. Do to my schedule I am unable to call, plus you know if you do they are going to do everything in their power to keep your money.
I responded to their generic email stating that I am unable to call, and that the TOS never stated that I must call to cancel my account, just that I needed to send in the letter and that I would receive a full refund within 10 days. I again get another generic response stating basically the same thing as the first. That I must CALL to cancel my account. So my next email goes out, and I get the same exact response. I wasn't talking to a human I was communication with people who copy and paste all their responses.
So my next email stated that I want my emails sent to a supervisor and if I did not get a full refund within 24 hours I was going to BBB.org and filling out a complaint. An hour later I have an email stating that as a "courtesy" they were refunding the full amount. Yep it is such a courtesy to follow their own TOS.
