sparks networks inc. the parent company of jdate and other ethnic dating websites is A SERIOUS FRAUD!!!
i was a member of jdate first as a paying member then just as a visitor thinking i might renew, but it seems things have gotten even worse at jdate..It seems they put many stale profiles on. for instance 2 men i was possibly interested in were no ;onger members for a long time.
also I COULDN'T BELIEVE THAT jdate would change the text of my bio/ of my profile without my permission. every time i said something in my profile about myself, they would choose to edit what i wrote. No other website had ever done this to me!!
In the end, the second time i decided not to subscribe again as my first experience had not landed any interesting matches.
Dating agencies dont do a good job of matchmaking.... For example a candidate like me can requested that her match be white but receive profiles of other ethnicities...the same goes for education, etc..it's like they have a box of ready profiles they just shove at your face.
J-date is also MORE expensive than any other dating website.
After such bad experiences, I feel now more convinced than ever that i should not be paying for dating sites, and am looking for free websites in Europe as it is where i am based.
In fact, i feel they should be lucky to have me as a client! they should be paying me!! i'm attractive, well educated and international!
J-date of all the sites was the most disappointing...DON'T SUPPORT J-DATE OR SPARKS....they're terrible!! according to my several experiences with them.

All profiles on the site remain active until a member chooses to remove his/her profile. We suggest our members to start with a broader set of preferences and select fewer criteria in their initial search, and then slowly add 1 to 2 additional preferences at a time. The results will provide the largest number of possible matches and will see those members who have logged in to the site most recently.
In addition, because matches are made using a formula that pulls information from a member's search preferences, the formula will fit as many of the selected search preferences as closely as possible, while still providing a variety of members to choose from. Thus, all of the Matches may not be a 100 percent fit.
Per our Terms of Service, all content is review before it is posted on the site to ensure it is not in violation of our Terms of Service:
WE RESERVE THE RIGHT, BUT WE HAVE NO OBLIGATION, TO MONITOR THE MATERIALS POSTED IN THE PUBLIC AREAS OF THE SERVICE. WE SHALL HAVE THE RIGHT TO REMOVE ANY SUCH MATERIAL THAT, IN OUR SOLE DISCRETION, VIOLATES, OR IS ALLEGED TO VIOLATE, THE LAW OR THIS AGREEMENT.
Should a member feel their text was deleted in error, it may be submitted to our customer service department with an explanation of why it should not be rejected and will either be posted or given a reason why it was removed.
