Michael McDevitt of Scovis Law Group promised that we would have a loan modification within 3-4 months and if they could not get the modification, would kindly return our money minus their $500.00. Well, 18 months later we are still waiting for them to do something or give us our money back. $2300.00 is a lot of money to be out, especially when the whole reason you decided to work with them is their promise to return our $2300.00 if they couldn't secure the modification. We have called them numerous times, written numerous e-mails and sometimes the respond but recently will not call or e-mail us back. We have received several letters from our mortgage company stating that we do not qualify for the modification. When we present this to Scovis they say to disregard anything that the mortgager has to say because they are working on this. We have threatened them with a call to the CA Attorney General and if that dets us nowhere we will sue them. We are now working on that. We trusted them because they made promises they didn't keep. We have those promises on paper.
