Shady business, very bad customer service

I purchased some items (carved letters) for a baby shower and 3 weeks later by the time of that baby shower, found out that the order has not been shipped. The explanation I received was that there is a 4 week wait for this special order of which I was allegedly advised somewhere on the website. I requested that the order be canceled but they said they didn't do that and that I would definitely receive the order in 4-5 weeks. Since then I have been calling and emailing at least once a week to request the status, but never received any replies. Finally, 8 weeks later I got someone on the phone and they told me that they don't do business with that supplier any more and therefore as a special favor to me they will refund me for this order. When I asked them why they haven't contacted me and haven't told me that the item was not available at least 4 weeks after my order (on the day they were supposed to ship it to me), they could not offer any explanation. It is obvious that had I not contacted them they would have kept the money and never contacted me. I am still unsure I will get a refund, so I canceled my credit card transaction. What a nightmare!
