If I had to sum up Neopets business practices in one line, it'd have to be this: Neopets' business practices make sweatshops in third world countries seem holy.
Just terrible. The staff at Neopets bans you for bogus reasons that they do not even have the audacity to tell you. I'm serious. When Neopets staff warns you or bans you for "breaking a rule", they don't even tell you which rule they broke! Instead, they give you a whole list of POSSIBLE rules that you might have broken.
Not to mention that the staff at Neopets is also stubborn! They REFUSE to repeal warnings and bans as it would tarnish their omnipotent image. They are much like the dictator of a fascist regime. If you dare question or challenge their ways, especially on the Neoboards where your dissent is completely public, then the Neopets staff will come get you. Hell, they don't give a damn about scammers, hackers, or anything else. They only care about ridding the people who don't praise them. Actually, I don't even think they know who they're banning. They just randomly ban to make the illusion that Neopets staff exists, when it really doesn't. Its just an automated system that periodically bans random people.
Do NOT allow your kid to play this game. He'll enjoy it for a brief moment and then suffer withdrawal when Neopets staff bans him for no reason. Don't even try to make a rebuttal or appeal to their ban. They don't CARE. Its as simple as that. They'll just respond with a series of automated messages, each giving a different POSSIBLE reason you might have gotten banned for.
Neopets deserves to die. It is the epitome of big business malpractices and corruption. It is the death place of happiness and the spawn of cancer. The horrifying fact is that the above were huge understatements; words cannot describe the abomination that is Neopets.
By the way, mentioning the Better Business Bureau's rating for Neopets gets you banned, especially if you do it on the NeoBoards. TNT is the master of censorship.
