I have used this shop in the past and found them competent, & trustworthy until Saturday 9/12/09 when I brought my 2002 VW Jetta in to have the right rear hub replaced. I was quoted $481, minus $30 discount for work over $200, with a total charge of $451 which I thought was expensive for a right rear hub but based on past experience I gave the okay for the work to be performed and would follow up on prices today.
I was overcharged about $126 dollars, the Volkswagen dealership across the street sells the hub for $228 dollars, as does the Midas shop in Oxnard CA, owned by the same guy.
When I returned today seeking an explanation I was given one that I found unacceptable by the current Manager "People usually shop around first" way to go hero I may have lost $126 but you have lost me as a customer, not to mention all the other customer turned off Midas by this review.
I will see manager and owner in small claims court.
