Review 4/27/2010

Lane Hospitality, the hotel management group for Marriott...They hire contractors to rehab their hotels and then decide not to pay them. A Courtyard Marriott, in Gulfport MS...was renovated in 2007. Most of the contractors have, as of April 2010 not been paid. Work was performed and completed and yet this management group failed to pay the people who did the work. Now someone, whose name won't be revealed here, called some of the contractors and offered them .50 cents on the dollar to settle. The hotel was purchased by Lane Hospitality (Marriott) and then hurricane Katrina hit. There must have been some insurance money paid to them and they had to have ample funds to renovate it from it's former state. 3 years and contractors still have not been paid. I will personally boycott this hotel chain. Perhaps Marriott investors and board members need to know how this management company functions and should question them as to why these people have not been paid...and just where did all the finances go that were designated to pay them!
