I was simply looking for a better income for myself, showing interest in Standard Data Group. I called the number advertised at 1-888-293-7370. I spoke with a man who calls himself Jimmy King at extension 104. He says there are many many jobs to choose from in which I would pretty much be guaranteed a position as long as I was over the age of 18 and was a legal citizen of the U.S.; which I am. I was on the phone with this man for nearly an hour with promising pay between $18 and $48 per hour. He says that since I am an intermediate in my job category that my pay would likely be between $28 and $48 per hour. As soon as I heard the words "Service Registration of $69" I immediately got skeptical. I searched the company in the BBB Database and found an "F" rating. I questioned him on this and his responses were all but convincing. I told him I'd feel more comfortable sleeping on the idea of paying this stranger company any money. He said he was not pressuring me to give up my VISA number, however, why did he claim that calling a week from now would be such a problem? He says they get approx. 300 calls a day for these services... It wasn't until I read the report on BBB that I learned this was a Job Listing & Advisory Services type of business. Why the holdback on the company's service description? Why so many waffled answers? After informing the man of his company's "F" Rating and the reason, his response was that because they have a fee involved, the BBB wont accept them. Later in the conversation, after finding that that answer was insufficient to changing my aspect of the company, he says that this "F" rating was based on a report of 'only' seven complaints over the past 5 years. I find that very hard to believe. Also, if the BBB is or plays a part of a government entity... Why would they step on a fellow entity's foot? I am glad that I checked the BBB for the report. Please take this as a warning... I would advise against giving these people your money. However, if you decide against my advisory, make sure it's money you wouldn't mind losing.
