Pai - Peru + Bolivia trip
Overall: Analia and Cecilia were really great by providing the maximum support during some incidents during our tour. The trip were very organized. The bus tickets, hotel, etc. were organized well. HOTELS: all in great location and provide best services
(except for the Hotel in Cusco (El Dorado) which we feel a bit mediocre. GUIDES: are bit hit or miss. Original itinerary from Eureka Travel and Peru A Travel doesn't match. We suggest improving communication and double checking what was agreed upon. ITINERARY:
bit tight. It did not feel like a vacation, since we have to wake up early morning everyday. I wish there were more time off. Here are the details on our feedback : Nov 23rd - We had a great time at Lima. Oscar showed us around central Lima and described in
detail the current state. There was some miscommunication between Eureka Travel and Oscar leading to Oscar being late 1 hr. Oscar was an excellent tour guide. He is very friendly, and knowledgeable. On top of that his presentation was great. The tour lasted
only 2hr rather than the 4hr described in the itinerary. Nov 24th- Ollantaytambo and the sacred valley was very interesting. Our guide was very knowledgeable and expressed great enthusiasms. However, the original itinerary stated we were to visit the town
of Pisac. Quote from Eureka itinerary states, "in the afternoon enjoy your visit to the beautiful town of Pisac, its traditional market, and the popular show. We will continue the tour through the sacred valley of Urubamba, then...". In the PeruA itinerary,
it says we will visit Ollantaytambo. The two itinerary does not match up. We worked with Eureka travel with the original itinerary for the 24th. We suggest sharing itineraries and comparing before the execution. Nov 25th- the tour guide was friendly and passionate
about the stories in Macchu Picchu. We enjoyed the tour. Nov 26th- Huayna Picchu was excellent and memorable! Nov 27th- The bus (wonder peru expedition)was comfortable and the the guide was friendly. The sites were as described. Overall we were satisfied.
The tour bus was hit by thrown projectile when we were juliaca. To avoid further danger the bus took an hour detour away from the riot/protest. We were glad the driver made the quick decision. Nov 28th - the boat was small and slow (but this is expected).
At times it was difficult to understand the guide. Tequile and uros was memorable! Nov 29th - the transportation from Puno was excellent. So is the tour guide. She expressed a lot of passion and enthusiasm. The hand off to Bolivia was arranged well. It was
clear and with guidance we went through without any problems. Bolivia - crillion tour Nov 29th - The transfer was excellent. I forgot some documents at the Peru side, but the guide from Peru helped bring it over to me. Rodrigo was our guide to Bolivia. He
was very enthusiastic and passionate about Bolivia. We felt it and part of it was transferred to us. We had a impromptu stop outside of el alto where we witnessed a dance competition for Thanksgiving. It was excellent and the experience is memorable. Rodrigo
has excellent presentation skills and we enjoyed his tour very much. When we reached El alto his passion helping us understand the local living condition was very deep. When we reached LA Paz, there was Christmas parade.Traffic was terrible. Rodrigo went above
and beyond recommending us to walk to the hotel when we were close enough (5 blocks away). Sure enough the van arrived 45 minutes later. Bolivia millenarian tour. Nov 30th/31st - our tour guide was Beto. Beto was freelancer that millenarian hired for us. We
felt a bit uncomfortable knowing that he wasn't working for Millenarian. He was friendly, but not very knowledgeable and seems like trying to slacking off. There were times when we doubt the information provided. We talked to other tourists and it seems like
our guide did the minimum. Other tour guides prepared quite a bit for the tourists and willing to extend the tour until 7pm for sunset while our guide always ended at 4_5 pm. The other tour prepared chairs and props for absolutely the most amazing pictures.
They also give excellent photography ideas. They even found water and stay until sunset to provide the best experience for their client. Our guide did help us a bit with some great pictures. He stopped impromptu at places to look around and that was greatly
appreciated. Beto was kind and helpful, but when talking with other tourists, at times we said to ourselves, I wish I went with them. Our driver ,sami, was a save driver and very nic and always on time. We like him a lot. Beto was a bit of disappointment,
especially since we pay a lot to visit Uyuni salt and would like the best experience there.
