Review 4/12/2008

My wife and I were very, very impressed by the outstanding service provided by Captain Electric’s Dusty Williams when we lost power in January 2008. A tree had fallen across our utility lines the day before in a windstorm and ripped up the “main” box and destroying the meter-main connectivity. There was little Edison could do until we got an emergency electrician to repair our “main.” As promised, Mr. Williams showed up in less than an hour’s time and on a Sunday no less. He quickly diagnosed the nature and extent of the damage and began making the necessary arrangements to replace our main electrical junction box and provided a portable generator. He also found that the house wasn’t properly grounded nor was the house up to code (the main was unchanged since 1958). Promptly Monday morning he began the necessary electrical repair work, contacted a planner from the City of Santa Barbara, secured the necessary permit, and then got Edison out here to hook up our electricity all before sundown. His knowledge of whom to contact in city government and at Edison was essential to getting us back on line in less than 36 hours. We were especially pleased to have had Mr. Williams represent us with the city and Edison, and are happy that we ended up with a safe, reliable, up-to-date electrical main that complies with code.Mr. Williams and his assistant were attentive and professional throughout the repair process. We couldn’t have been more pleased with our choice of emergency electricians.
