I was taken to Burke Williams in Mission Viejo on my birthday. Because it was my birthday, I was going to a luncheon directly afterward. I wore a 5 strand freshwater pearl bracelet and a diamond and ruby necklace.
When I got dressed I accidentally left my jewelry on the top shelf of locker number 14. While at lunch I realized I was missing my jewelry. I phoned immediately. I got transfered to lost and found and got a voice mail. I left a message and called back to speak to the front desk. The girl stated that no one had turned anything in and someone was currently occupying the locker. She said she would call me if they find anything.
What?? IF you find anything?!! I left about $4,000.00 in a locker and you will call me IF you find anything? I said basically if it was not turned in its probably gone and she said yeah probably sorry.
!!!!!!!What? I called corporate and asked for a manager who then transfered me to the manager at mission viejo. She stated the same. No one turned anything in. I said wouldn't the locker have been cleaned out by a worker when she placed new shoes and a robe in the locker. She said yes but no one turned anything in.
I am ABSOLUTLEY AMAZED AND SHOCKED at the lack of concern and the complacency from the staff. And I am at a total loss. I will never be able to replace my necklace, it was a one of a kind and I have had it for years.
That was my first time at Burke Williams and it WILL BE MY LAST. I usually get services at the St Regis where I am sure this would never have happened. I was taken to Burke Williams by a friend as a birthday gift. Oh what a gift. Jewelry stolen from my locker.
Sincerely
Lisa Roulund
