I purchased a Scalewatcher 2 years ago, it does great. Over this time over 8 other neighbors who were on other systems came over to look at my Scalewatcher and have purchased. I have asked all of them about any problems, none reported so far. All are happy about not having to buy salt or potassium, and no maintenance costs, or problems as with other salt systems, and all say they can feel the soft water when they shower. Yuma water has very high mineral content, and the product performs very well. One snowbird here takes his back to Montana for the summer. Cost is a factor, but overall cost per year will go down compared with salt system, and no salt water going into my septic tank, saving me on hundreds of gallons of water each month. Overall a great product.
