I work for a large southeastern metropolitan police department. We recently built out a new emergency operations center and wanted to incorporate a video wall with secondary displays to relay important real time data and video across the entire room. After an exhaustive search, 9X Media had the best product solution to suit our physical and logistical requirements, and were able to bring the whole package to us within our budget. For reference, for less than half the price of one vendor’s primary wall, we were able to acquire a primary video wall of the same size and resolution, along with 16 secondary and tertiary displays, on their own secondary video server! Since we are located a continent and three time zones away from 9X, coordinating our project took a slew of emails and phone calls, followed by on site visits. Once plans were agreed upon, progress was fast, and the materials were shipped in and assembly took place with few problems. The aluminum framework utilized to mount the multiple monitors is top notch- well machined and stout; I have no trepidations about its strength. The installation was reasonably quick and the crew cleaned as they went. Once configured, it was amazing to see high definition images stretched across 12 feet of LCD brilliance. The entire assembly is framed in a powder coated bezel and looks modern and handsome. The bezel also serves to contain any monitor generated heat upward into a vent above the video wall, thereby mitigating any hot spot in front of the display. Any issues that have arisen since installation have been dealt with promptly by Dan and Bryan, with phone and email help usually available within a few hours, if not immediately, and a fan issue we had resulted in a replacement fan being sent to us within a couple days. The servers have shown themselves to be pretty solid, functioning even when the fan failed, which is especially important for us considering the 24/7 environment they are operating in. I am looking forward to their new controller software, which will make manipulating our multiple secondary and tertiary screens more streamlined. I would recommend anyone looking for a multiple monitor video solution to look at the options available through 9X Media.
